The annual German Fest held by the German Day Association is a much beloved event here in Lincoln Square. The Fest features delicious German food, fantastic German music, and family friendly games and activities. This event requires a massive amount of volunteers to happen. If you'd like to volunteer for the event on behalf of the DANK Haus, please sign up at the link below.
Every week there are many opportunities to lend an hour or more to help support the cultural programming and education initiatives at the DANK Haus. Some spend time leading a museum tour or processing book donations in our library. Many people enjoy preparing food or serving beer at our annual Mayfest booth. Others regularly staff the bar or kitchen at our monthly Stammtisch Open Haus. Still others invest time in installing exhibits in our gallery space or taking care of our building. For many projects, such as transcribing oral history interviews, you can even volunteer from a remote location!
If you have a trade, profession, or passion that you would like to share and don't see it on our iVolunteer site, contact us to see how we can help each other.
