The DANK Haus German American Cultural Center is a 501(c)3 Non-For-Profit Organization.
Our mission is to preserve and promote German culture, heritage, and language through maintaining a center consisting of a museum, art gallery, library, and language school, and organizing educational and social programming focusing on and emphasizing the history, traditions, and contributions of Germans and German Americans.

We first opened our doors in 1959 as a lobbying organization to support German Americans. Since then, we have grown to be a cornerstone of the Lincoln Square community and beyond.

Our team is dedicated to helping everyone that comes into the Haus, from students and parents, to bridal parties and performers, all guests are welcome.
Our Board of Directors uphold the values of the DANK Haus and our mission and work to improve all areas of the Haus, including capital improvements, curriculum, programming and events.
