Willkommen to our German Fall Classes 2025!

Class Description

Learn German within the comfort of our Haus! This class is meant for absolute beginners and meets up at the DANK Haus every Monday for a 16-week-period. By the end of the class you will be able to hold a simple conversation, and have an understanding of basic grammar.

This class runs for 2:15 hours and covers CEFR Level A1.1. You will be able to continue with Beginner II in the spring after completion of this class.

Meeting UP

The in-person class meets every Monday, August 18 - December 8, 2025 from 6:30 - 8:45pm at the DANK 3rd floor.

Achtung: There is no class on September 1 (Labor Day), there will be a make-up day on September 2. There is no class on November 24 (Thanksgiving Break).

PREREQUISITES

No prior knowledge of German? Perfect - You're good to go! If in doubt, please refer to the Placement Test or contact us at languageschool@dankhaus.com.

Price

The cost of this class is $450 for members of the DANK Haus and $475 for non-members.

A late fee of $30 will be added to the respective price for any registrants enrolling on or after August 4, 2025.

Minimum Enrollment

There need to be at least 6 students in order for this class to come together. In case of insufficient enrollment, we may merge this course with the virtual course.

Material

This class uses Klett's Die Neue Linie 1 A1.1. You can order your book here. If you are planning on taking the Beginner II class in the future, feel free to order the complete volume.
