KochSchule

Kochschule is a two week camp for youths 10-14 years old. Your native German speaking teacher is a  passionate hobby-cook and is very excited to take campers on a culinary journey through southern Germany, Austria and to all time favorites from all over the world. 

This is a bilingual camp, everybody is welcome. We will practice reading and writing recipes for campers with German language experience.

During this camp students will be involved in every task that is needed to cook a meal. Kochschüler*innen will research recipes, write shopping lists, prep ingredients, cook and bake, and clean up the kitchen afterwards. With all this hard work involved, we will reserve time to go outside and relax, and enjoy a picnic or two. Campers will also go on at least one cooking-related full day field trip to an off-campus location.

If your camper has any dietary restrictions, please let us know during the registration process, so that we can plan substitutions. If your camper is vegan, you will have to help us with specialty substitutions.

Core hours for camp are 9am-3pm, but if you need before or after care, simply select these options during the registration process (see below for more details).

If you have a child 13 years or older, who speaks German, please contact us about our Junior Counselor program!
