Thomas Kittler

Board of Directors

Thomas Kittler is a retired American Airlines 787 Captain and decorated US Air Force Brigadier General, bringing decades of leadership and service to the DANK Haus Board of Directors. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical/Astronautical Engineering from the University of Illinois, a Master of Arts in International Relations from Salve Regina University, as well as having completed Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government Senior Executive Fellows program.

Thomas has held key leadership roles in both military and civilian organizations, including Director of the Northbrook Veterans Center, Commander of American Legion Post 791, and Quartermaster of VFW Post 10236. He also serves as Director of the Northern Illinois Airshow.

Fluent in German and deeply connected to his heritage, Thomas is passionate about giving back to the DANK Haus, where both his daughters attended the “Deutsch Schule”.
