Answering the "German Question": The 150th Anniversary of German Unification

  • Wednesday, January 27, 2021
  • 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

This historical presentation commemorates the 150th anniversary of the unification of Germany in January of 1871.

Historian Robert Hogg, Ph.D., who teaches at North Park University and Columbia College Chicago, will address the fascinating political and cultural background of German unification as well as the dramatic events that led to the creation of the German Empire 150 years ago this month.  He will also touch on the wider significance that this has had for Germany, for Europe, and for the world—significance that is still apparent today.

Dr. Hogg’s 45-minute presentation will be followed by a live Q & A and group discussion in which everyone is encouraged to participate.

This is a FREE event. We simply require registration to make sure our Zoom meeting is safe and secure.

Please note:

You will receive an automated email immediately upon registering. You will receive another email the day before the event, where you will find the private Zoom link.
